regulating chartered accountants. We are an organisation established by Royal Charter under number

4 What this site is
Our website is a place for employers to advertise jobs for Chartered Accountants, and make available
other relevant information. It is also a place for candidates to make available their CVs, and other
relevant information, to potential employers. In essence, our website is a platform for interaction
between employers and potential employees – it aims to facilitate linking up employers with potential

this, rather we just make available the facilities to allow this to happen.
Whilst we will do our best to make sure the information set out upon our website is accurate or
correct, we do not guarantee this, as we do not monitor it. We recommend that you verify any
information you access with the person making it available to ensure it remains current and correct.
For the purposes of the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and/or The Conduct of Employment
Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (as amended) we are not an employment
business. We do not charge a fee for using our website or the services it provides.

Where you submit personal data through our website, we will process this personal data as a data controller, in order to provide the services provided to you by our website. We do
this upon the basis of your consent (which we ask for when you register to use our website).
We will also process your personal data as is required to allow us to operate our website, which will mean that your application data will be passed to ICAS registered employer partners when you apply for a vacancy through this website. We may also provide information to you, which we think may be of interest to you, based upon your engagement with our website. Our basis for carrying out this processing is legitimate interest. This information may include but is not limited to event promotion, job opportunities, information from our partner employers and information about the CA qualification.

Those that use our website to look for work must:

- not be subject to any restrictive covenant or such like, which may prevent them from carrying out any role they express an interest in;

- always respect their confidentiality duties owed to previous employers;
- always provide complete and correct information regarding their experience, skills and qualifications;
- only contact those employers whose roles they are willing to take; and
- not utilise our website where they have an exclusive arrangement with another employment agent or similar professional.
9 Terms specific to employers
Employers that use our website must:
- provide complete and correct information to any potential employees they interact with;
- always provide complete and correct information concerning any skills, experience, qualifications roles require, work locations, pay and such like;
- pay their employees for all the work they do;
- pay their employees for holidays;
- not force employees to work longer than 48 hours a week;
- pay employees at least the National Minimum Wage;
- ensure they adhere to all workplace related legislation, including under health and safety laws; and
- give employees written terms of employment.
We do not tolerate bribery, slavery, discrimination or the commission of tax offences in any forms.
You undertake to comply with all applicable laws in relation to the prevention of bribery, slavery,
discrimination and/or tax evasion and avoidance, and not engage in any conduct which breaches UK
or foreign laws in this respect, or which would breach UK laws if conducted in the UK.

The content of our website and the code that makes it operate is protected by copyright and other
intellectual property laws. We, and our licensors, grant you a right to access our website, to bring the
