Your Ambitions. Energised.

At EQ, people are at the heart of what we do and we seek to provide an environment where our employees have every opportunity to grow both professionally and personally and to fulfil their aspirations at each stage of their career.  With a strong training ethos and non-departmentalised work structure, we are able to provide our people with a diverse training experience.

We are proud to have been recognised as “Most Innovative Large Firm” at the national 2020 Annual Innovation Awards in 2017, having previously won “Managing Partner of the Year” in 2015.  In addition, we are past finalists in the categories of “Best Medium Firm” and “Training Manager of the Year” at the Scottish Accountancy & Finance Awards.

This year, we were also delighted to be shortlisted for “Tremendous Learning and Development” and “Exceptional Employee Engagement” at the cHeRries Awards, along with “Tax Team of the Year” at the Scottish Accountancy & Finance Awards.  In addition, one of our CA’s was recently awarded ICAS’s “One Young CA 2018”.

Our Internship Opportunities

We are currently seeking applications for paid internships in 2019.

Within our offices, we are able to offer third year students the chance to come and work with us over the summer months.  During this time our interns will gain invaluable experience supporting a variety of accounting tasks, having the opportunity to experience first-hand what it is like to work for a progressive accountancy practice before making a decision regarding their future development and career pathway.

The size of our Firm means we are large enough to offer our interns an interesting and varied experience but small enough to provide one-to-one mentoring and support to them throughout their placements.

As an employer of students, we also find it useful to employ potential graduates for a short time to see what they are like in the workplace and outside the formal interview process.  As a result, we place as much emphasis on recruiting students for internships as we do when recruiting for our CA training contracts.
