MHA Henderson Loggie is one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of accountants and business advisers, with offices based in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

We are recruiting 4 graduates onto our Chartered Accountant training programme 2020, to be based in our Dundee and Edinburgh offices. With continued support and mentoring, we aim to make the transition from University to work life as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Our trainees are given the opportunity early on to work on a variety of clients, ranging from owner managed businesses to major family-owned companies and not for profit organisations.  There are also opportunities to work in different business areas within our full-service client offering.  

This exceptional learning environment provides a platform to help you develop your business advisory skills through our internal training programme and become a qualified professional, which will give you access to different career opportunities. You will cover a variety of tasks, enabling you to grow personally as well as professionally.

Each day is different and brings new challenges, whether it be going out as part of the team on your first audit, leading assignments, coaching and developing colleagues, attending client meetings or preparing reports for presentation to clients.

You will work well under pressure and be strong at communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Study and financial support for ICAS qualification will be provided.  You will also have access to additional training through the MHA Training Academy.

Skills and personal attributes required:

  • A good level of education and academic ability (Minimum 2:1, any subject)
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
  • A demonstrable interest in business and financial issues
  • A well-developed sense of client service
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive and analytical approach to problem solving

In addition, you will share our values, be approachable and able to work collaboratively, and demonstrate a desire to contribute to the ongoing success of the firm.
